νύ(ν): now, enclitic particle, perhaps sometimes temporal, but as a rule differing from the temporal νῦν as the logical and temporal uses of ‘now’ differ in Eng. The context in each case must decide whether the word admits of paraphrasing or not. Often τί νυ; and οὔ νυ.
